Well Darlings, We're told the World Firework Championships are returning to Blackpool this year, and will begin on the first Sunday after our famous illuminations are switched on. This year that takes place on Friday September 1st. Hosting this spectacular event again can only be good news for us - but possibly very bad news for all those people who thought the event was being held at Lake Orta in northern Italy in August this year and have already booked their holidays.
